I did get the "this is too conservative a take" pangs early on (particularly at this line: *The term represents cancel culture gone wild at best and flat-out censorship at worst.*) but by the end felt it was a closer to a neutral rundown — it gave voice to different perspectives.
Will those who advocate for "safe spaces" get that far? I wonder — if I could have released some arrgh at that early line, or have seen others acknowledging their own reaction there, would that have helped me deal with discomfort? Stuff for us to chew on.
